Jefferson’s Presidential Select was crafted in 1991 at the famous Stiltzel-Weller distillery. This facility was built by Pappy Van Winkle but closed later that same year. The wheated bourbon spent 18 years aging in those barrels before being bottled for this honored Jefferson’s series.

About Jefferson’s
Thomas Jefferson, the main author of the Declaration of Independence and a key founding father, became the third U.S. president in 1800. During his time in office, he authorized the Louisiana Purchase, sent Lewis and Clark west to explore, and removed the Whiskey Excise Tax.
After leaving office in 1815, Jefferson focused on his garden at Monticello. Wealthy farmers like him often made their own spirits from their crops. Each farm’s spirits had a personal touch, shaped by taste and local soil. Jefferson’s Reserve Very Old Straight Bourbon Whiskey honors Jefferson’s innovative spirit. The Zoeller family, creators of this bourbon, trace their roots deep into Kentucky’s bourbon tradition. They were inspired by Jefferson’s curiosity and willingness to experiment.
