Blanton’s history began in winter 1881 when Albert Bacon Blanton was born on a farm near Frankfort, Kentucky. At just 16, he started working at the Old Fire Copper Distillery as an office boy. Over time, he worked in every department of the distillery. By age 20, he became the superintendent of O.F.C. and stayed there until he retired in 1952.
He shared the pride of Kentucky bourbon, like his mentor E.H. Taylor. Blanton believed a specific part of Warehouse H was best for aging bourbon. He would pick barrels from that section to create his own personal reserve.

Bourbon is a truly American drink. Though most is made in Kentucky, it can be produced anywhere in the USA. It must contain at least 51% corn and be bottled at 40% alcohol or higher. Give this classic American spirit a try and enjoy its rich history.

This is luxury in a bottle. Smooth, rich, and just the right amount of heat—every sip feels intentional. Definitely one of the most refined bourbons I’ve had.

Blanton’s Takara Gold stands out immediately. The aroma alone pulls you in—sweet honey, vanilla, and a hint of spice. On the palate, it’s bold but controlled, with layers of caramel, oak, and subtle fruit. The finish is long, warm, and satisfying. This is not just hype—it’s genuinely a premium experience.

You can tell this was crafted for a more refined palate. It’s richer and more structured than standard Blanton’s, with deeper spice and oak influence. The higher proof gives it a stronger presence without overpowering the smoothness. Great for sipping slowly and appreciating every note.

Blanton’s Single Barrel Gold Takara is everything you expect from a high-end bourbon—and maybe more. From the first pour, the nose opens up with warm caramel, honey, and a touch of baking spice. The palate is layered and complex, offering notes of vanilla, toffee, dark fruit, and seasoned oak. What really impressed me is the balance—it’s bold at 51.5% ABV, yet incredibly smooth and well-rounded. The finish lingers with a gentle spice and sweetness that keeps you coming back. This isn’t just a drink; it’s an experience worth savoring.

This bottle is special from start to finish. The presentation alone makes it feel premium, but the real magic is inside. The flavor profile is rich and evolving—starting with sweet caramel and vanilla, then opening into spice, citrus zest, and oak. It has a depth that shows careful barrel selection, and the single-barrel nature makes it feel unique. It’s bold, complex, and incredibly satisfying for anyone who enjoys a well-crafted bourbon.
