Blanton’s Black Edition Bourbon builds on the brand’s usual distilling process but adds more depth. This special release sticks to traditional methods, with a longer aging time of eight years. That extra time creates a more complex and layered flavor. A key change is the sour mash recipe, where some of the previous batch is reused, similar to sourdough bread. This results in a richer, more intense taste. Originally made just for Japan, this bourbon remains rare and highly sought after. It offers a bold flavor mix of pepper, butter, and honey, ending smooth and clean.
