About Widow Jane

Widow Jane’s founders aimed to create whiskey that was bold, flavorful, and full of character. They wanted it to reflect the spirit of New York. Every Widow Jane whiskey is proofed with pure limestone water from the Rosendale Mines, just 100 miles north of Brooklyn in Red Hook.

This limestone water built some of New York’s most famous structures. It helped form the Brooklyn Bridge’s giant caissons, the Empire State Building, and the pedestal supporting the Statue of Liberty.

The water naturally filters through limestone and gathers in underground caverns. It has a unique mineral content that enhances the whiskey’s natural flavors. This water is a key part of each bottle and a part of Widows Jane’s signature.

The story behind these mines adds to the name. The result is some of the finest aged bourbons. They offer rich aromas, a smooth, creamy feel, and a long, satisfying finish. Widow Jane captures the spirit of New York—urban and refined. It stands out as the city’s own whiskey.
