About Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection No.4 Seasoned Oak Finish Bourbon Whiskey
Woodford Reserve Bourbons are premium spirits made by the Brown-Forman Corporation. They are crafted carefully in small batches and aged in new charred oak barrels. This handmade process ensures they use all five sources of bourbon flavor, giving them a unique taste and a clean, crisp finish. The distillery features a long, 500-foot gravity-fed barrel run, copper pot stills, and fermenters made from 100-year-old cypress wood. It also has one of the few heat-cycled barrelhouses in the world, which helps develop its color and signature flavor.
In 2009, the fourth release of the Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection was launched. This bourbon was aged for seven years in new charred American oak, then finished for eight months in well-seasoned oak casks dried in the air for three to five years—much longer than usual. It was bottled at 100.4 proof.

About Woodford Reserve
The Woodford Reserve Distillery is built on land that once housed an old distillery founded by Elijah and his son, Oscar Pepper, in the 1800s. Years later, under Oscar and Master Distiller James Crow, the distillery modernized and changed how American whiskey is made. They introduced new ideas in sour mash and yeast development.
Today, it’s one of Kentucky’s oldest and smallest bourbon distilleries. Located in Kentucky’s famous horse country, it’s the only place where bourbon and horses grow side by side. The distillery also owns a cooperage, where they make and toast barrels themselves, giving them perfect control over flavor and color.
