About George T. Stagg 2019 Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
The 2019 release was carefully crafted in 2004 using Kentucky corn, Minnesota rye, and North Dakota malted barley. It spent over 15 years and three months maturing in charred new American oak barrels. The whisky was then bottled at a cask strength of 116.9 proof, slightly lower than earlier releases. This difference comes from storage on the lower floors of the warehouse. Be sure to get one of these rare, sought-after bottles today.
About George T. Stagg
Buffalo Trace Distillery sits along the Kentucky River in Frankfort, Kentucky. Its name comes from a historic path used by migrating buffalo. Native Americans knew this trail well before settlers crossed the Ohio River. Early pioneers followed it to explore the western frontier.
The distillery is the oldest in the U.S. that has been running without pause. It has a long history linked to master distillers like E.H. Taylor Jr., George T. Stagg, Albert B. Blanton, Orville Schupp, and Elmer T. Lee. Today, the distillery remains family-owned. It rests on the same 130 acres near the Kentucky River that it has for more than 200 years.
About Bourbon
Few things are more American than bourbon. Most of it is made in Kentucky, but it can be made anywhere in the U.S. It must contain at least 51% corn. Bottled alcohol should be at least 40% ABV. Give this classic American spirit a try.
